SOFIA VERGARA OPENS UP ABOUT HER LOVE LIFE

Sofia Vergara opened up about her love life in People Magazine. She said she is happily enjoying life with husband Joe Manganiello.

Vergara, one of the highest paid actresses on television, signed a millionaire prenup before her marriage with actor Manganiello.  They got married in November of 2015.

Sofia is worth so much more than he is, a prenup was a no-brainer. Her attorneys hashed it out with his attorneys. He never made a fuss and agreed to all the terms. He respects Sofia for protecting her assets and, as always, he was a total gentleman.

After all, it's not like Joe wouldn't be entitled to half of whatever she makes once they finally get married, and like Sofia told OK Magazine, there is no reason that a woman that looks as good as she does shouldn't be able to make money in Hollywood for years to come.

"I think if a woman stays fit and lives a healthy lifestyle, then she can project beauty no matter what her age.

Before Sofia Vergara became engaged to Joe Manganiello she was engaged with businessman Nick Loeb. Her relationship with Loeb ended in May 2014. During the relationship, they agreed to freeze embryos using her eggs and his sperm. Loeb filed a suit in California to seek custody of the embryos. Vergara wants the embryos frozen indefinitely and her preference may be the deciding factor. The parties previously entered into an agreement regarding the use of the embryos during their relationship. According to the Agreement, no unilateral action can be taken with regard to the embryos unless both parties consent. The agreement never states what should happen to the embryos if their relationship ended. According to Loeb, freezing them indefinitely would be tantamount to killing them.

JIM CARREY: CATHRIONA WHITE "DEGRADED" AND CALLED "A WHORE"

Mark Burton claims in his lawsuit against Jim Carrey that the actor “knowingly gave Cathriona White STDs, lied about the fact he’d given her the diseases and then broke up with her after she confronted him.”

Burton claims that Carrey sent texts asking White to sign a contract after the split, which was meant to ensure that she would not sue Carrey for allegedly infecting her with STDs.

The complaint also includes a letter that White wrote to Carrey in 2013 describing herself as 'damaged goods' after she learned she had contracted the diseases. White also writes that she has been made to feel 'disrespected, degraded, called a whore, an opportunist, threatened' and like an 'ungrateful b****.'

Burton claims that this traumatic episode played a part in triggering White's suicide. He also accuses Carrey of providing the prescription drugs White used to committed suicide in September 2015, despite knowing she was prone to depression.

Carrey issued a statement in which he said if Burton’s lawsuit, “Is this the way a ‘husband’ honors the memory of his ‘wife?’ The real disease here is greed, shameful greed!”

Carrey’s lawyer, Martin Singer, also responded to the allegations by saying, “The claim that Mr. Carrey gave Cathriona White an STD is categorically disputed. This is a desperate, bogus claim made by the ‘husband’ of the sham marriage.” He added, “My client will not pay money to end this opportunist’s transparent shakedown lawsuit, and this malicious case will be dismissed.”

Carrey denied he played any part in White’s tragic death. He released a statement saying, “It would be easy for me to get in a back room with this man’s lawyer and make this go away, but there are some moments in life when you have to stand up and defend your honor against the evil in this world. I will not tolerate this heartless attempt to exploit me or the woman I loved. Cat’s troubles were born long before I met her and sadly her tragic end was beyond anyone’s control. I really hope that someday soon people will stop trying to profit from this and let her rest in peace.”

NAYA RIVERA NOT SORRY STORY

In her newly published memoir, Sorry Not Sorry: Dreams, Mistakes and Growing Up, the actress writes about personal matters.

She always knew Mark Salling was trouble.

Salling was arrested in 2015 and later indicted on charges of receiving and possessing child pornography on his laptop and a flash memory drive. "I can't say I was totally shocked, but still–WTF?" she writes of her ex-boyfriend, whom she met on the set of Glee. "My son's nanny actually told me about it when the story broke. Then I had no doubt that God really did have my back along the way."

The co-stars broke up in 2010 but continued to work together for several seasons. According to Rivera, Salling's publicist thought she was bad for his image.

Rivera also revealed her understanding now-husband Ryan Dorsey melted her heart with kindness after she told him she aborted his baby following their split back in 2010.

The Glee starlet discovered she was pregnant weeks after breaking up with the actor, and decided to terminate it so she could concentrate on her career. Rivera says she "absolutely" still thinks about that difficult decision to this day.

MATT BOMER NEXT CHALLENGE: A TRANSGENDER WOMAN

GLAAD's Nick Adams argues that Hollywood needs to let go of the idea "that putting a male actor in a dress, wig and makeup is an accurate portrayal of a transgender woman."

It’s been two years since Time proclaimed a new era of inclusion in America with a May 2014 cover featuring Laverne Cox and the headline: “The Transgender Tipping Point.” The groundbreaking Time cover came 10 months after Cox appeared in her breakout role as Sophia Burset in Orange Is the New Black. An outstanding performance by a transgender actress that accelerates change across an entire culture.

Since then, trans people have begun to appear on reality shows. Trans characters played by trans actors are beginning to appear in scripted TV shows.

In spite of the critical and commercial success of projects that put trans people in Hollywood it is having a very difficult time letting go of the idea that putting a male actor in a dress, wig and makeup is an accurate portrayal of a transgender woman.

For more than 40 years, people have seen male actors "pretend" to be trans women. By this type of casting, viewers receive two strong and wrong messages: 1. that being transgender is an act, a performance, just a matter of playing dress-up; and 2. that underneath all that artifice, a transgender woman really is a man.

Matt Bomer find himself in the controversy, following news that he will be playing a transgender woman in Anything, produced by Mark Ruffalo.

Emmy-nominated trans filmmaker and actress Jen Richards responded with a series of tweets that re-ignited a long-simmering conversation about casting transgender roles.

Bomer, who is a successful out gay actor, and Ruffalo, who’s been a supporter of the LGBT community, took on the project with the best intentions.

Emmy-nominated trans filmmaker and actress Jen Richards responded with a series of tweets that re-ignited a long-simmering conversation about casting transgender roles.
The decision to put yet another man in a dress to portray a transgender woman touches a nerve for transgender people, and rightfully so. It's yet another painful reminder that, in the eyes of so many people, transgender women are really just men.

That message is toxic and dangerous. It's what prompts lawmakers in states like North Carolina to legislate that a transgender woman must use the men's restroom, humiliating her and putting her in harm’s way.

When you hire a trans actor, they don't have to spend weeks or months "preparing and researching" to play a trans person. They can walk in the door on day one, ready to deliver an authentic, nuanced performance. You get the added bonus of having someone on set who can tell you if something about the dialogue or the characterization is falling into tropes and clichés that will ultimately not reflect well on you or the project.

RENEE ZELLWEGER ON KENNY CHESNEY GAY RUMORS

Renée Zellweger cited “fraud” as the reason for divorcing Kenny Chesney in 2005. Tabloid rumors were rampant with speculation that the country star was gay.

Now, Zellweger is speaking out about the rumors for the first time.

“That made me sad. It made me sad that somehow people were using that as a way to be cruel and calling someone gay as a pejorative, which has fateful consequences,” Zellweger said.

Zellweger said that the use of the word “fraud” was “simply legal language and not a reflection of Kenny’s character,” and said she wasn’t tempted to defend him publicly.

“I’m an old-fashioned gal who doesn’t feel it’s appropriate to hang out your laundry on the lawn. I feel you devalue yourself as a human being when you share very personal things with bajillion strangers who are making fun of you.”

The actress added that it is hard to not speak out against something when it becomes so negative.

“Sometimes it is difficult to just let something be what it is, especially when it’s unnecessary ugliness,” she said. “Once you’ve said your piece, shouldn’t that be enough? And why is the ugliness that’s perpetuated in the media so attractive to people?”

Chesney commented on the gay rumors two years after the marriage was annulled, saying, “We thought the least harmful [stated reason] was fraud because it [is] kind of broad. And boy…we were wrong.”
